This two day conference in San Diego will help me learn more innovative strategies that will help me continue to reignite the passion that I have to teach. As I start my 19th year of teaching, I want to continue to be a better teacher each year. My goal is to never loose my love and passion for this profession and attending this conferences will help the fire that is in me keep on burning. My fourth grade students will benefit from my learning as it will help them continue with hands-on learning, igniting their passion to learn and becoming the leaders that I want them to be. Collaborating with fellow colleagues is the one way to stay connected to current research based strategies and help develop my teaching abilities. I teach my students that we are all teachers in the classroom because we learn from each other. This also applies to teachers as well. We become better teachers because we learn from each other.
