Using an iPod as a listening center we don't have to worry about scratching CD's or feeding our CD player new batteries every Friday. The iPod and headphones will help students build their reading fluency and give them access to texts they can't read independently. We can store countless numbers of books that are available with a simple touch of the screen. Students will scan QR codes and allow access to unlimited books. This iPod touch will also be perfect for recording our own voices as we begin assessing fluency. Donating an iPod Touch to our classroom will help us meet the two goals of our literacy center - to have fun and to become better readers. Building fluency and reading above-level texts, these iPod touches will allow us to stretch ourselves as readers!
