These scales and scientific liter and millimeter sets are essential for hands-on leaning activities where my students can work in pairs of twos conducting experiments to verify textbook data. I am excited to see them make their own discoveries rather than reading about other people's findings. We are extremely fortunate to have a few scales in my classroom, but they must still take turns to measure mass for different parts of our experiments. I also relied on using my Promethean board to show them a spring scale, since we did not have access to one. I know my students will be thrilled to use these new scales because it will reduce student wait time to use functional scales. These scales will make it possible for my students to complete their laboratory experiments within the designated class period.
