These wobble stools will allow the students in my classroom to have seats that allow for movement while working. With 6 wobble stools, half of my class will be able to choose to use wobble stools instead of traditional chairs while at their desks. Giving students seating options is developmentally appropriate and will allow students that need movement to focus on what they are learning. While I will make sure that students are not spending all day at their desks and have plenty of movement breaks, there will be times that working at a desk will be the most practical. 7 and 8 year-olds are not all able to sit still, and providing wobble stools and encouraging movement at desks will better meet the needs of my students. As a first year teacher, I am working towards setting up my classroom to have more options for seating and having these wobble stools would be a great start towards having multiple options for all students!
