The books that I am requesting will help all student have a passion for reading. These books will help keep all of my students engaged in reading. I strive to have a print-rich classroom library where all students can choose books during their independent reading time. These books will give them an opportunity to learn about the world around them. It is important the our classroom feels like a community where all students belong. The books we share as a class help us build that classroom community. When students read great books they cannot wait to share them with their classmates. They love to recommend books to each other and have great discussion about the books they share.
