My students meet with me in small groups several times throughout the day. After Tier 1 instruction, I break students up into groups of 5 or 6 to intervene or enrich the standards that are taught. This time is crucial to ensure that all gaps are filled for each student. It is during small group instruction that I am able to deliver differentiated instruction, and ensure that each student is able to master the skill or standard. Wobble chairs help active bodies to not feel restless. Students will also feel that coming to small group instruction will be exciting and different from their normal seats, which will bring positive energy to the lesson.
