There are so many things I'd like to add to my classroom to help make my students' learning experiences the best they can be. First and foremost, I'd LOVE to incorporate some flexible seating in my reading nook. I have a ton of books I've collected over the years, and I love it when my students ask to borrow them! Many times, after the lesson, I find my students wandering to the bookshelves throughout my classroom perusing the titles. My goal is to have a comfy, colorful, inviting area with ample seating for my students to relax with their favorite book. Even if it's only for ten minutes. Much to my dismay, we unfortunately can't just lounge around and read all day. Work must be done! Therefore, in addition to the flexible seating for the comfort of my students, there are a few items that would make my daily lessons and planning a lot easier. I've included ink for my printer, some pencils for those students who never have one, workbooks for use with all three of my classes, a TV for use with videos and PowerPoint presentations, and a bluetooth speaker for those days when I just can't hold out to read those stories period after period and have to use the audio version instead (I read a lot because my kids tell me they'd rather hear MY voice). There are other items as well, and all are resources I use on a daily basis. Any and every contribution will greatly benefit my students. I hope to make their time in my classroom educational, fun, and memorable. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my students who've graduated. I love their smiles and hugs and stories of their favorite memories of their time in my classroom.
