  • Math Manipulatives for Math Masters in the Making

    Funded Jun 28, 2022

Thank you for donating so that we can have math manipulatives in our classroom. I look forward to using the scale in science and for our equations unit. The geoboards were so helpful during our geometry unit. Having hands on items really helps students visualize and make connections. Fraction tiles help them make connections so that we can eventually solve with models then move to actual equations. I'm always looking for ways to help make math exciting and approachable for all students. Tanks again for helping our class.”

    With gratitude,

  • Captivating Novel Study for Critical Thinking

    Funded Jan 21, 2022

Thank you so much for funding this language arts project. These novels will benefit my students for years to come by enabling them to refine their critical thinking and communication skills. It will be an invaluable resource that I would have had a hard time procuring without this much appreciated help.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wagstaff

This classroom project was brought to life by Utah State Board of Education.
Students need learning concentrated on the essentials. For my students, this means critical thinking based on suitable literature that encourages them to analyze texts to find text evidence and write summaries. Using these novels of Flush and World Without Fish with the high-quality, free online resources from Engage New York will be of the utmost benefit since previously we have been unable to fund this project. Additionally, it will be a cross-curricular study that will help my sixth graders learn the above-mentioned essentials while also studying important science topics such as balanced ecosystems and earthly stewardship while enjoying rich literature and hopefully having fun in the process.
