Many of my students have special needs that include sensory needs. Sitting in a traditional classroom chair for instruction will not meet those needs. Having flexible seating options will allow the students the best opportunity to access the learning! All students need access to seating that will help them focusing on their learning and not their wiggling. Students are allowed to sit anywhere during our Friday Flashlight Reading and whenever we have silent reading time. Being able to sit on a flexible seat makes the time more enjoyable and students are excited to read. The mini desks will give students a unique setting to write their stories or work on assignments.
