As Athletic Director, I have had many students come to me in the past year asking why we don't have a baseball team for our students. I have had to answer these questions with, "we don't have the funding." I've watched their faces drop and respond with how sad they are that they can't play baseball. This year, it is my goal to provide the students with the opportunity to play on a baseball team, but we need your help! By providing the much needed equipment, I will be able to provide an opportunity for students to grow and dream in a safe and healthy environment! I want to make sure that they know their voices are heard and that, if they fight for something enough, they can make it happen! When I told the students that I was creating a baseball team for them, their eyes lit up and they eagerly started talking about the amazing season they will have and they immediately started recruiting team members. This is why I do what I do, to encourage students to be part of a team, dream, and become leaders on and off of the field!
