Flexible seating helps make learning fun. The benefits of flexible seating in the classroom creates a more active, engaged, enthusiastic, and relaxed room of students! Having flexible seating in the classroom, students can feel more comfortable, which allows them to focus for longer periods of time. There are many different seating choices, some options giving children the sensory input that they need. Students will be able to choose their own seat daily, and work in a location that best suits them. Students are going to learn best in an environment in which they are comfortable and safe. Allowing students to have the freedom of choice for their seating can help them become more confident learners. Flexible seating is about more than simply having a variety of different, fun seats in the classroom. It is about and prioritizing students’ needs concerning the environment in which they learn. I believe it will help each student in our class be the best learner they can be. I hope this will allow students will feel at home when walking into our classroom each day!
