Young students often have difficulty learning while sitting still. Movement can help students refocus and spend more time on important things. Studies have shown that the more students can move the more engaged in learning they are. This type of seating also allows the students to have the choices to sit by who they want to. By having their choice of seating allows students to take ownership of their learning and behavior. This type of knowledge establishes a chance for students to learn that all decisions have consequences and that those consequences can be both good and bad, depending on their preferences.
