Many of our classrooms have interactive smartboards. Due to the expense of the smartboards, my room has instead a large screen tv. When teaching writing, it would be beneficial to have an iPad to write on to could project the work on the TV for class viewing. It is also helpful to be able to control my TV and projections while walking around and helping/interacting with students. The iPad Pro enables writing right on the student worksheets. It also allows the teacher to bring up digital literature pages and annotate the stories right on the page. This modeling technique is highly effective for teaching student close reading techniques.
