The materials purchased will be used to further implement active and hands-on classroom instruction. My students love to learn, but every teacher knows that students learn. The tools selected will allow all students to be able to better access the curriculum and match their personal learning styles. Math class is a great space to motivate learning by integrating games, as students work to solve problems they build onto the skills needed to engage in the lesson. My students love to collaborate and of course love to share their thoughts, ideas and opinions. Being able to actively participate in class discussions and activities require various tools that enable students to display their thinking. Implementing class lessons using tools such as dry erase boards or clipboards provide students independent think/work time before allowing collaboration with others. Students enjoy being able to explain their work as well as inquire about different strategies used by other students.
