Taking a break to breath! Students will work with me in a safe and calm environment to build social emotional skills. Students will learn through playing games with peers, manipulating sand and magnets to help regulate their emotions, rolling thumbballs to answer tough questions about diversity and stress, relaxing with a weighted blanket or animal while discussing their issue with a trusted adult, and coloring away their worries. Students will strive to be life long learners. Students will learn appropriate skills and techniques to calm themselves down to become engaged students in the classroom. With help students will hopefully become creative and successful members of society.

About my class
