Nearpod and Flocabulary are digital engagement tools that help get kids excited about learning. Nearpod is a platform used in classrooms that drives engagement through inclusive and immersive learning. With Nearpod, I will create interactive lessons with slides, polls, game-based quizzes, VR Field Trips, websites, videos, & much more. Flocabulary is a video and creativity platform that uses hip-hop to engage students and increase achievement. Flocabulary’s standards-based videos, instructional activities and formative assessments are used to develop skills in an extremely engaging way. Nearpod and Flocabulary will help me create interactive learning experiences that students love. These digital tools have been shown to raise scores on state tests and 96% of regular users believe the programs increase student achievement and engagement. In addition, these tools help me add the arts and movement to the learning in my Math and Social Studies classroom.
