Digital literacy and Spanish curriculum is new to our school district. These tablets would assist in helping my students gain independence in understanding the components of digital literacy. Due to 45 minutes of instructional time given per class each week, these tablets will be extremely beneficial in allowing my students to work on their assignments in their non-instructional time. My students will be able to access their assignments and successfully create spreadsheets, design documents, and practice learning how to speak Spanish. Students will be introduced to several skills including internet safety, typing, data organization and more. I am fortunate to teach K-6 in the media lab this year, however in order to help students progress, students will need more time outside of the media lab to be gain a great appreciation for the curriculum.
