I will be making steel cable safety door cables for every classroom door in our building to better protect our students in the event of an emergency. The cables will be custom made to the correct length for each door. They will hang on a hook out of reach of students for safety until needed. They will wrap around the door handle, then using a hook latch onto an eyebolt that has been anchored securely into the concrete or brick wall. This will keep an intruder from entering the room if the lock has somehow been disabled on the door.
