In our district, we are given a certain allotment of instruments to be distributed between three levels of band: beginning, intermediate, and advanced. However, our allotment contains only one alto saxophone total! The alto saxophone is an in important instrument to the band, often playing inner lines and creating great harmonies with the rest of the band. However, with only one alto saxophone total, not all of the bands are able to have this important instrument. Furthermore, many students who are interested in playing this instrument are unable to, because there are not enough available. Please help give our bands this needed instrument and support the music making in our school! These alto saxophones can be cleaned and used year after year, providing countless numbers of students the opportunity to study on this instrument.
