Since most of my students come from low-income homes, they don't have the opportunity of interacting with tablets or technology. The project of Technology For Small Hands and Big Brains is a project that will support student learning directly. During a normal class day, our students get an opportunity to work independently while the teacher creates a small group to help them in an area of academic need. This usually works great, but still, it doesn’t give students the opportunity to take advantage of our district resources and learning programs such as Learning A-Z and I –Station. If our 3 Samsung tablets and covers project is funded, our Kindergarten students would have the opportunity to complete their personalized learning task and get additional academic support to strengthen their weaknesses.
