Visiting the Georgia Aquarium will provide learning opportunities that are standard-based and student-centered. Students will learn about different habitats. They will learn about the differences and what’s the same among those different habitats. For instance, can you breathe oxygen underwater? Why can’t a fish eat what we eat? And what some plants and animals need to thrive in their habitat. SKL2. Obtain, evaluate, and communicate information to compare the similarities and differences in groups of organisms. a. Construct an argument supported by evidence for how animals can be grouped according to their features. CD-SC3.4a Observes, explores and describes a variety of animals and plants. Describes their basic needs and life cycles.
