This roof-top garden project will open the students' eyes to connecting with the natural world. Students will delight in stepping out onto the patio roof-top into a lush garden filled with pollinators flitting about and a myriad of real-world learning opportunities. From ecosystems, to life-cycles, to stewardship, and conservation, the entire student body will experience nearly every part of environmental and life science. With this garden, students will germinate, grow, and cultivate organic foods for themselves, as well as help native pollinators survive when many food sources are low. Once the garden is established, it will be a place of wonder, scientific observation, and data collection!
