My preschoolers learn best through play. To ensure that I am pushing each of them to reach their full potential, I strive to create experiences that tailor to their needs. To effectively create these educational experiences, I need materials! The items in this project contain books, toys, art supplies, and materials that will help me create educational experiences for my students. Literacy is a big component in my classroom and I have selected a few titles that will be great during read alouds. I also place books in all of the classroom centers to ensure students always have access to these and learn literacy skills through play. My centers serve as an extension of whole group activities. The items selected in this project will help my students make meaningful connections to concepts learned throughout a unit. For example, we have a Recycling unit and a Trees unit. The dump truck and trees are open ended materials that will help my students create their own play scenarios while also tackling the concepts of the unit.
