Currently, we have 3 Spheros that we share between 3 first grade classes (approximately 65 kids). Having access to five more will allow our students to have more hands on experience with this type of technology. They will be used in every subject from sight word practice, to math facts, and we will even use them in our studies of ancient civilizations. Integrating these types of STEM practices throughout all content areas inspire our students to love learning! Their eyes light up when they see the Spheros because they know it’s going to be a great day! Most recent research explains the positive correlation between movement and brain growth, and the Spheros also allow our students to learn in motion. The addition of these Spheros will no doubt lead to student engagement, higher academic achievement, and more opportunities for students to attain 21st century skills.
