Environmental science needs to be more than just a subject in a textbook. For the lessons to really hit home with students there needs to be a multitude of hands-on lab activities. These labs will help my students to better understand processes that occur in nature such as the flow of energy within a food chain or how ecosystems change over time. They will also learn about climate change and what they can do to lessen their environmental impact. At the end of the course, my students will have an increased science literacy and be ready to be part of a more environmentally aware populace. They will enter the world ready for the environmental challenges that await them!

About my class
