My classroom is in desperate need of iPads! My classroom is a functional skills classroom of 7-10 year old students with Autism. Technology is expensive and hard to obtain enough in order to help each of my 12 students. Many social and functional assessments and curriculums are technology based, and my students are proficient with tablets! This helps the kids be able to have a level playing field when learning and participating in these programs with their same age neurotypical peers. It will help them tremendously when it comes to their ability to navigate and participate in the classroom. We run into many conflicts with the few outdated and old iPads, that we have currently as they are not compatible with new educational programs. They simply will not update anymore, making them useless for educational purposes. Just 3 new ones will give us the ability to rotate the students through these learning activities on a daily basis.
