I believe that the flexible seating options will help my students who have trouble focusing, stay more focused. I feel as though they won't need to be getting up and moving around so much, distracting themselves and others during the process. I also believe that they will generally feel more comfortable versus sitting in a hard plastic chair for hours. I understand that the toiletries may not be a direct component of active learning, however, I know that my sixth graders will be going through lots of changes and may not have someone in their life who can or will provide the necessities for them. I want my students to feel safe with me, have no doubt that I care about them deeply and I want them to know that they are not alone. (I am also working on a food pantry for them, in my room!)
