All students in my class have loved the diverse texts that I have been reading throughout the year. We have been primarily participating in distance learning and so I wanted to try and come up with an activity that would really engage them and further develop their love of reading! Finally I came across the perfect activity! MARCH BOOK MADNESS! On day 1 we will preview all books in the battle and the students will predict which one they think will be the winner of the book battle! We will read 2 stories a day and engage in a variety comprehension activities for each story. Then at the end of the day, students will vote which book they think should be moved on to the next round. We will complete this process throughout the month until we have our winner of March Book Madness!
