These materials will make a life long difference in the lives of the students who use them. Last year, I oversaw a coffee cart which was operated entirely by students with impairments. The students scale and grind the coffee beans, prepare the dispensers and cart with all of the necessary fixings and mugs, and deliver the coffee to teachers who subscribe to the program. Last year, whether when interacting with each other, collecting money from and serving the teachers, or doing the behind-the-scenes work day in and day out to keep the coffee cart operating, the student's passions and personalities really began to glow! This year, our school has almost doubled in size, and with your help, by donating to our project, so will the coffee cart! The materials requested will allow us to expand the coffee cart with the school, as we try to include more students, more teachers, and more life skills training everyday. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student social and life skills, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement!
