The students are not only more engaged in their learning but also less disruptive of their peers when they are able to choose a workspace that works for them. Wobble stools and comfy chairs will create more comfortable and functional workspaces and the ideal setting to learn and be engaged. Our school uses flexible seating and personalized learning. It gives students the opportunity to take charge of their learning and make choices that work best for them. My students are able to choose from a variety of locations to work. They may choose from different height tables, wobble stools, floor cushions, and lap desks instead of the traditional desks and chairs. They usually make good choices about where they sit, are more engaged, and get more work completed than when sitting at a traditional desk and chair.
