These read aloud books will be used to extend the Mindful Schools Curriculum that is being taught in all 17 classrooms at our school. They will also be available during recess in our Peaceful Place, where students can read quietly or meditate. Pictures books make mindfulness, gratitude and kindness more easily accessible for our students that speak a variety of home languages, have socio-economic disadvantages, and emotional trauma. Your donation will help support our mindfulness initiative, which supports the emotional, physical and mental well being of the whole child, so that each student can be ready and able to learn.
