Students are in the classroom for more hours in a day than in their own homes. I want to create an environment that is comfortable, inviting, and with the least amount of distraction to meet the needs of all my students and their varied learning styles. When children are busy learning, they need their own personal space so they can concentrate on the lesson and stay on task. Not all students have the same learning needs. Some students learn best when they are allowed to move around while they work, while others crave sensory input to feel comfortable while they focus. Flexible seating in my classroom can meet the needs of so many students at the same time.
