These items will help start our school based business making various designs for shirts, cups, etc. The cameo silhouette cameo is a machine that students will use with a computer program to enable them with making various designs to put on shirts/cups/etc. The Royal Press will be used to iron the designs on shirts at a faster, more precise pace. Without this machine, the students would be ironing the designs on the shirts. Both of these items are used in conjunction with each other. These students will have the opportunity to learn a real world business in high school and gain skills that can lead them to future employment. This may even lead to some students owning their own business. These items will be fun and hands-on for special education students by allowing them to learn real world skills. In addition, these students will learn patience, how to work as a team, while putting into practice core academic skills. We will enjoy our learning while applying basic knowledge and skills in a creative way. This is also a way for the district to re-invest in our special education students in that various clubs/organizations/etc. can order from the Blue Devils Boutique to do their projects, which in turn, can save the district/club/organization money by not sending them to outside vendors.
