Coloring is a huge part of first grade! We draw pictures as part of the emergent writing process. Students write responses to prompts and draw pictures that correspond to their words. We also write and draw pictures to respond to books we have read to deepen reading comprehension. Of course, we draw for fun too! By donating to our project, you will allow students to represent all peoples and cultures in their pictures. These crayons are special because they give children the ability to draw people and characters of different races and nationalities correctly. Pictures are worth a thousand words!
