The new Cybersecurity Program in our high school is a step in the right direction in ensuring our students know more about the dangers posed to them by the Internet. As part of the program, students will be focusing on online personal safety, cryptography (data representation, and secure online communication), networking and SQL injections (web application security and hacking techniques). The Raspberry Pi's will help to make sure students have an understanding of software design and can practice networking and securing their systems. These 31 Cybersecurity "majors" are motivated to help their community and the biggest threat they see in their world is the one posed on the Internet. Over the next three years they will be learning about securing systems and finding vulnerabilities in the network and various systems in order to create more security in our world. Getting hands on experience with these Raspberry Pi's is an invaluable learning experience for each and every student.
