Students will learn all about the Engineering and Design Process as they learn to build underwater robots. Students will learn leadership and teamwork as they actually build a robot that will complete different tasks. We have a swimming pool in our classroom, we just need the materials to turn our classroom into a workshop. Students will turn their drawn-out plans into working bots. Students will use PVC pipes, motors, pumps, propellers, joysticks, batteries, and cameras. In the spring we will take our best robot to the local aquatic center to compete in the Marine Advanced Technology Education Center's ROV challenge. This activity and experience will prepare our future leaders for tomorrow with engineering and technology skills.
