With the variety of diverse learners in my classroom, flexible seating will allow students who need something other than traditional seats to be successful in the traditional classroom. Many of our student do not come to school with the supplies they need. We keep interactive journals with the composition books and use colored pencils and glue for a variety of projects. Our electric pencil sharpener will not stand up to the demand of colored pencils so handheld sharpeners are a must! Many students will work hard to learn just because that is reward in itself but the added motivation of prizes and snacks are helpful to a variety of students at this age level.
