Students will use personal CD players to listen to books that are found in the reading center of our classroom. Students who are learning to read will have the opportunity to practice using age appropriate literature. Students will have the choice to listen to books that they find interesting and that they might not necessarily be able to read independently yet. Although working independently, they will still get the support they need by listening to the text they are reading. This provides for my auditory learners who might struggle with just reading words and also provides mobility for my kinetic learners who work best when they are allowed to move around with the personal players.
