Having a classroom of little learners, means having a variety of teaching strategies and hands-on opportunities. Although it might seem like all kids are familiar with iPads or some sort of technology device, I have many students in my class who have never had the chance to come in contact with one. I believe that having iPads in the classroom will open up a whole new learning opportunity for some of my students. Research conducted in Northern Ireland in 2017 found that "introducing iPads in classrooms has a positive effect on the development of children’s literacy and numeracy skills. Moreover, it shows that the use of these devices enhanced children’s communication skills!" With these iPads I intend to use a variety of learning apps that will boost language use and social interaction, build motor skills, and reduce the use of paper copies.
