The carpet will ensure that my students have the opportunity to work on the floor to complete engaging, hands-on lessons. They will be able to get comfy while the read a book or participate in our morning meetings. They will finally not have to sit on the cold, hard ground. The students will benefit from the chair because guided reading will finally be able to operate properly. It is hard to teach a guided reading group when I don't have a place to sit. I like to engage with my students and conference with them sitting next to me but this won't happen much without a teacher space. I am truly excited about working towards the goal of providing a carpet and a chair for my students so they can have magical learning experiences.
