We were given the opportunity to have a face lift done to our school library last year however, funding was not given for furniture. The students currently snuggle up on the carpet, in the corners of the library or against each other to enjoy a good read, play a board game, or do their work. Having seating will allow for the children to arrange themselves in a manor that they will feel comfortable to continue to visit the library. Being the Central Hub, the Heart of the School, it is important to be inviting and comfortable for all to come in and stay a while. We have many parents that come to the library after school and sit to read with their children exploring the books before they take them home. We also have groups of students check out our maker-spaces, whether it be board games or our robots to code, offering seating would give them the opportunity to enjoy the library space even more. Having the seating will allow them comfortable areas to continue to explore and grow as individual students and friends.
