My students are a great group of eleven 4th grade special education kiddos who are very active physically and verbally. We are all located in an extremely small classroom, but are able to complete most work with little difficulties (besides tripping over one another). They come to school each day with a smile, and despite their disabilities, they work hard in all classes. We are not able to complete many computer accommodations in IEPs at this time because a desktop computer does not fit safely in our room. Our school is located in Illinois, and while most students in our district are not low income, we still struggle greatly with budget shortfalls. Sadly, even an old laptop is not available to my students.
