Currently our students must rely on seeing us using things like math manipulatives on the screen -- we don't have enough of these supplies, nor the funding to purchase more, to send home with each student. Hands on learning is necessary for young students to apply verbal and visual lessons and make pathways in their brains cementing the knowledge and increasing student engagement. These kits will give students items to make this kind of learning "at their fingertips!" We worry that students learning virtually may fall behind those in classrooms, these kits will help assure this won't happen.
