The materials I chose are for students who do not usually come to school with supplies. I’d like for my students to have nice new supplies, not just hand me downs. So I am asking for some colored pencils and scissors so they can have journals to help with their vocabulary. I have also asked for diverse books to build my library. This way students see families and people that look more like they do. I ordered Math type supplies to engage my students in math. We are always working on math skills and critical thinking. I’ve also been experimenting with flexible seating, and I find it has really helped some of my more active students.
