My students LOVE to draw and sculpt! They are especially ready in grades 3-6 to begin learning how to represent their world more realistically. For example, how to shade things so they look more three-dimensional, how to draw faces so they are in proportion, or how to sculpt a bear so it looks accurate from all sides. Students of all ages are often motivated to elevate their artistic skills by drawing, painting or sculpting a particular person, character, vehicle, animal or environment. With the ability to print in the art room, students can find an image that inspires them, print it, and use it right away as a reference for their artwork. Our own HP printer and a supply of printer paper will give students the ability to capitalize on their inspiration and have the reference material on hand (in their art journals) for as long as they need it. With HP Instant Ink, I can cover the ink cartridge costs for up to 300 pages per month for $9.99/mo!
