As a special education teacher, I work with a population of students that are working to gain employability skills. Our students have mild to moderate disabilities that impact their ability to navigate the community and workplace without instruction on their soft skills. We provide opportunities for students to learn how to work cooperatively and take pride in doing that well. We focus on teamwork and team building as well learning about and capitalizing their unique strengths.
