Time For Kids is an amazing resource to teach students about current events and what is happening in the world. It is also a great way to get scholars thinking about how they can make a difference. I will use Time For Kids as science, social studies, and non-fiction literature resources. Students will read and interact with the text in class with their peers. Then, they will be able to take them home to spark discussions with their families. I will also have a parent workshop to teach families how to best utilize this resource at home. Students will be inspired to take personal responsibility for their learning outside the classroom.
