One of the most fundamental learning experiences in kindergarten is that of reading. We want our students to fall in love with literature, to learn and know how to gather information through good books, and to have the skills set needed to read simple literature and later grow into more complicated texts. Additionally, you will see the specific books in my wishlist features subject areas like females in STEAM, the beauty and uniqueness in our names and family culture, and that foster classroom community and friendship. My emphasis is not only on students' ability to read but also putting literature in front of them that expands their knowledge across content areas and socio-emotionally.
