Our students work really hard to be incredible mathematicians. They unfortunately enter our school several grade levels behind - usually our students score below the 10th percentile when they enter in 4th grade. Our students get double math in 4th grade to try and get them caught up, but it takes a lot to bring them up to a college-prep level. We're working really hard to make math accessible to all students this year. We're doing this by focusing on math manipulatives and by purchasing calculators to ensure students don't get tripped up on basic calculations, thereby allowing them to understand the math conceptually.
