All of my students desire a space to call their own, a place where they can feel comfortable and ready to tackle learning throughout their day. With flexible seating, my students will have the choice of seating options in which they can work at their best. I've learned that at this age, students need to have the opportunity to sit, stand, or even lay down to engage in their learning. The more comfortable they are, the better their attitude towards school will be. With choice in their seating, focus, engagement, and interactive participation becomes better as they tackle their learning throughout the day. Flexible seating gives them that engagement and allows them to feel comfy as they learn. Kindergartens can make use of their space in a productive way. When they have comfy areas and seating options to choose from, it allows them to take ownership and responsibility in their ability to be the best they can be as they take on new challenges in the classroom.
